The spirit of Christmas is often best exemplified through acts of kindness and generosity, and this year in the picturesque villages of Affa, a remarkable event captured the essence of giving. Chief (Dr) Sir. James Nnebedum Ibe, fondly known as Onwa N’Affa, a prominent and successful figure based in America, returned to his roots in Amofia Imezi Affa to spread joy and goodwill. On December 21, 2024, he bestowed a generous Christmas gift to his beloved community, and the appreciation from the villagers was palpable.

The villages of Affa—Ikono, Inoyi, Umokoloma, Ogor, Amokwu, Amozalla, and Amofia—were the proud recipients of 100 bags of rice each, totaling a remarkable 700 bags and 7 cows. This heartfelt gift symbolizes not only a significant contribution to the local economy and nourishment of families but also represents a profound connection between a son of the soil and his ancestral home.
